We are bringing our museum cellar to Sydney for the first time. Six wines, opened across a four-course lunch at The Fenwick in Balmain East. A restored 1880s sandstone building on the harbour foreshore, with the Bridge framing the view.
The wines span fifteen years of Whispering Brook grown on the ancient volcanic terra rossa of the Fordwich Sill and the sandy loam soils along the Wollombi Brook. Each has been selected from our museum cellar.
The wines span two traditions. The whites carry the French heritage that defines the Hunter Valley at its finest — aged Semillon and oak-matured Chardonnay at the peak of their complexity. Then the Portuguese varieties that we have pioneered in the Hunter Valley: Arinto and Touriga Nacional alongside our aged Shiraz.
