The spectacular annual Whispering Brook Olive Long Table Members Luncheon will be held on Saturday 27th May 2023.
The alfresco luncheon set amongst the estate’s olive groves, features an internationally inspired five course menu with matching Whispering Brook wines, a special guest speaker, live music, a tour of the estate’s olive groves and vineyards and the ever popular post lunch Wine Options Game with a special prize for the winner.
This year we are delighted to welcome Mr Greg Bourne as our special guest speaker. Greg has worked at the nexus of energy business, energy policy and climate change for over 30 years all over the world including two years as Special Adviser on Energy and Transport to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and CEO of WWF Australia. Greg is a Special Advisor on ESG to PwC and is a Councillor for the Climate Council.
A spectacular five course menu has been designed by talented chef Mr Jonathan Heath to highlight the quality and flexibility of extra virgin olive oil and sustainable artisan food producers. Jonathan is passionate about respecting the produce and allowing it to speak for itself. Jonathan grew up in South Africa where he trained at the prestigious NH Lord Charles Hotel, worked in the UK and has spent the last decade in Australia. Jonathon brings an international flavour and experience to his menus.
The Olive Long Table Luncheon brings people together around a communal long table to talk and share about the provenance of food and wine - showcasing the best of the Hunter Valley and NSW.
